Hello and welcome! I’m Lijju Mathew, a data professional driven by a passion for transforming data into impactful insights.

My journey started with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, and I’ve been immersed in the data world ever since. From my beginnings as an ETL/SQL developer to leading the architecture of data platforms, my career has been a steady progression through the data and AI/ML landscape.

Here’s an overview of my path:

• Laying the Groundwork: I began by working in ETL and data warehousing, building a strong foundation in data management.
• Diving into Big Data: When big data emerged, I embraced the challenge, gaining expertise in Hadoop, distributed computing, Spark and Data Engineering.
• The Cloud Journey: My work then expanded into the cloud, where I built modern data platforms, creating Data Lakes, Cloud Data Warehouses and Data Solutions in AWS and GCP.
• Expanding Horizons: Pursuing a Master’s in Data Science at SMU opened doors for me to work on Machine Learning projects, including building recommendation systems, marketing use cases, and exploring Generative AI by developing chatbots.

This blog serves as my personal journal, where I document my learnings, projects, and the books I’ve read. It’s a mix of my experiences and insights, all shared from my perspective.
